Twinned with Mashhad

6 of 10 in this atlas

Mashhad maintains twinning arrangements with six municipalities, spanning Pakistan, Malaysia, Italy, Indonesia, and China. Karachi and Lahore represent Pakistan, while Kuala Lumpur, Milan, Surabaya, and Ürümqi complete the list. Each of these pairings is recorded as mutual, meaning both sides formally recognize the relationship rather than one city naming the other without reciprocation.
