Twinned with Damascus
17 of 24 in this atlas
Damascus maintains formal ties with cities across a wide geographic range, from Amman and Beirut nearby to Tokyo, Buenos Aires, and Toronto further afield. Most pairings are mutual, spanning capitals in the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America, with Ankara, Istanbul, Cairo, and Baghdad among them. Toronto marks the sole one-sided case, naming Damascus without the pairing being returned in this atlas's record.
